I went from Canon to Nikon to Nikon and Yashica, to Nikon and Canon and Bronica and Camerz and Calumet to Nikon and Canon to Panasonic.

Can I have that "road map" again with all the various cameras listed?

The Angry Photographer, on a recent You Tube Video, said Nikon made bad decisions, which is why it is where they are financially. He also was disturbed, because Nikon didn't send him a crop sensor Z50 mirrorless camera, to test for 3 weeks. He also mentioned that You Tube gives Nikon a lot of advertising, and reviews. And Nikon is ignoring You Tube Videos, where two popular photographers, previously Nikon owners, are switching to Sony mirrorless cameras. But, the Angry Photographer doesn't think Nikon is going out of business. Nikon, just has to change their decision makings. He didn't say what decisions needed to be made though. The Angry Photographer is a Nikon loyalist. And has no intentions of switching over to Sony. He claims he gets not one penny from Nikon for his support of Nikon's DSLRs and lenses..I personally believe Nikon will not go out of business. But, will take financial losses, they have not experienced in decades past. Nikon has announced the successor to the D750. It will be named the D780. It will be a 24 megapixels DSLR, not mirrorless. We shall see if it becomes a big seller next year?

A new DSLR for 2020? So Nikon are still sitting on the fence - as they have for several years - which is why they have troubles.

Several new DSLRs will be released in 2020, along with a few lenses and possibly a Mirrorless or two. Get out of the way and standby. Happy Holidays.

Tony lives and dies by his click count. He depends on folks like you to spread the word. Now some UHH members who hadn't seen that video will go check it out. Tony hears 'cha ching'.

I totally agree, Tony's value is highly overrated. I've felt like his channel has been self serving for a long time.

According to Tony Northrup's very recent You Tube, "Nikon is Dying", Nikon is going out of business unless they change things quickly. What do you think?

Who’s Tony Northrup and why should I care what he says?

So many 🍌 bananas here I have to unwatch! Anyone realize how much advertising was done for Tony Northrup and whatever an Angry Photographer is? More than a bit counterproductive. This feels like Facebook, I’m not staying for that show.

All Tony did was look at their financial report.
It's less opinion ... than math.

I doubt it. They'll restructure as will Canon and others. The younger generation are purchasing Cell Phones instead of cameras and the phones are improving at an alarming rate. It is undeniable.

OMG! My Nikon arsenal will be worthless! When Nikon folds (Tony said so) all that expensive gear will no longer function! Bodies will die! Lenses will close up and turn black! My Nikon hat and shirts will completely unravel and imprints will crumble! Oh! What will I do? What WILL I do? Oh, woe is me! I'm ruined! No one will love me! My wife will leave me and my dog will go with her! Oh, woe is me. (sic)

Seems to me that there is a Country Western song in there somewhere!

Your right, Tony did just look at the financial report. But there are many more factors than just the financial report.

The financial report was -16% for Olympus. Looks bad, right? Except at the beginning of the year, they predicted -18/-19%. They knew they had a restructuring and plant move to account for. A -16% against a predicted -18/-19%? That sounds like much better than expected! That also means than the -16% is a good financial report in this case! Nikon's survival will depend on their willingness to innovate, restructure, and determination to stay in the business. Fail in one of those factors, Nikon can be history. That is true for all businesses.
