According to Tony Northrup's very recent You Tube, "Nikon is Dying", Nikon is going out of business unless they change things quickly. What do you think?

Change the name "Nikon" to any company name. This fate awaits any company at any given time in our ever changing economy and marketplace.
Evolve or Die!

Nikon is a large company that makes more than just cameras and camera lenses. I doubt very much that even if the photography part failed, the company would go out of business.

Northrup has been bad mouthing Nikon and their products for a quite a while now. For me at least his veracity is in doubt

I think TN is a shameless, self-promoting tool. Always ready to stir up controversy, often producing word-salad in defense of his proclamations. There is no fact in this latest piece of fiction. I wouldn't go out and short Nikon's stock on this info.
The Angry Photographer, on a recent You Tube Video, said Nikon made bad decisions, which is why it is where they are financially. He also was disturbed, because Nikon didn't send him a crop sensor Z50 mirrorless camera, to test for 3 weeks. He also mentioned that You Tube gives Nikon a lot of advertising, and reviews. And Nikon is ignoring You Tube Videos, where two popular photographers, previously Nikon owners, are switching to Sony mirrorless cameras. But, the Angry Photographer doesn't think Nikon is going out of business. Nikon, just has to change their decision makings. He didn't say what decisions needed to be made though. The Angry Photographer is a Nikon loyalist. And has no intentions of switching over to Sony. He claims he gets not one penny from Nikon for his support of Nikon's DSLRs and lenses..I personally believe Nikon will not go out of business. But, will take financial losses, they have not experienced in decades past. Nikon has announced the successor to the D750. It will be named the D780. It will be a 24 megapixels DSLR, not mirrorless. We shall see if it becomes a big seller next year?
YouTube opinions and prognostications should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
Remember that the video you’re watching was produced solely (for the most part) for personal gain and/or gratification. Altruism is seldom the motivator.
It is a great piece of photography skill to know when to change camera brands.

I think that Canon needs to also step up and catch up, I think that Sony and Fuji are both leading the way.
My oldest friend recently changed from Sony and Leica entirely back to Nikon, and I don't mean the Z series. Very pleased with the decision.

Tony lives and dies by his click count. He depends on folks like you to spread the word. Now some UHH members who hadn't seen that video will go check it out. Tony hears 'cha ching'.
