Sirui’s website has a list of authorized dealers. I haven’t checked it in a while but they also specifically mention 3rd party sales on Amazon from unauthorized dealers. I once purchased a Sirui tripod from Adorama and found when I attempted to register it that Adorama was not an authorized seller. Helen, at the time an Adorama employee, provided some incredible assistance and helped get my money back. She has since left Adorama, but that’s another story. I personally buy a lot from Amazon but you have to pay attention who you are actually buying from, Amazon itself or a marketplace affiliate. And... look at the seller terms and return policy. Caveat emptor.

no retailer in the mix; 3rd party seller; I Google on how to complain to Amazon, but can't find much; I am directed to view file, claims, etc. buttons of which don't exist; I have now found an 888 number for Amazon so I will see how that works; wish me luck

Seems to me that you opted to save $10 and go with the cheapest price, a seller from Korea.

The $259.99 price is free delivery (if you have Prime) and FREE returns.

You made a bad choice by going cheap on this with an offshore seller which only offers free delivery but no free returns. You really have no basis for a complaint unless it arrived damaged. Your beef is with the seller, not Amazon, and certainly not Sirui.

First image the listing with Amazon selling, the second image is the Return Policy for D-Solutions, the seller you bought it from.

So, in order to save $10, you forfeited the fast initial delivery, dealt with a seller that has return policy you are uncomfortable with, bought a gray market item that may have little support in this country, and you are trash talking Amazon, Sirui, etc when it was entirely your choice. You were so blinded by the $10 savings that you neglected to look at the seller's return policy, which was right there - all you had to do was look for it.

You get what you pay for, but in this case, you don't get what you don't pay for.

don't understand what a non-authorized distributor / vendor is; if they are selling through Amazon I would have to assume there is "authorization"

Amazon has both authorized venders and non authorized venders ( grey market venders) selling products. There are times the distinction between authorized and non authorized is difficult to see in the add. Those times I ask a question to the vender threw Amazon if they are authorized. Usually within 24 hours I receive there answer.

Your response is quite harsh, aimed at someone you don't know. but, when you are right, you are right; I have bought hundreds if not a thousand items from Prime, so used to it, didn't really understand the ramifications of what I had done ( burned twice, shame on me ! ).

As a result of your response, I am now abandoning my efforts to call Amazon; will put it on eBay, get what I can get, and chalk it up to a learning experience.
