Somewhere deep down there is an American inside you. I need to speak to that part of you because the Fox news part of you is lost in a sea of sophistry and lies. You think the economy is great do you? Lots of jobs and such? I mean sure, the stock market is doing great but are you in the market? Because the vast majority of Americans aren't. Let me try and put this in plain terms.
We're a family and dad decides to get a whole bunch of credit cards and he buys everything he can. New cars, new appliances, the whole works but dad doesn't make enough money to pay those bills. The economy inside your house is great! You got appliances and even a pet pony and it's all just great! Until the bill collectors come calling. This is exactly what happened when Reagan did it. This is what happened when Bush did it and now that's what's happening when Trump does it.
You all used to say you cared about the deficit. Well what happened? The national debt just crossed $23 trillion. Your representatives just passed a tax cut with the promise it would spur economic growth and the results as has happened every single time your congressional representatives have cut them are the deficit explodes and we start running trillion dollar deficits. It isn't you parking all your 401k money offshore in Swiss bank accounts. We paid for the infrastructure that allows Amazon, Boeing and a plethora of other companies to make billions in profit and they don't pay a nickel in taxes. You pay for them remember?
Remember when Republicans deregulated the derivative markets? That one act cost the American people at last tally between $15 and $20 *trillion* dollars. You know what that's called? Socialism. It socialism for all the money exchangers and capitalism for diabetics who have to ration their insulin because the price has increased as much as 800% in the last ten years. You know why that is? Because when Bush passed the Medicare part D plan, an anonymous Republican in the senate slipped a provision into that huge bill which forbids Medicare from negotiating drug prices with any pharmaceutical companies. They just make up the prices and we have to pay it.
Your fellow Americans are dying because of that because they also put in a provision that we cannot import drugs from countries like Canada. They have the same exact drugs and pay a fraction of what we do because of congressional Republicans alone. This is one of the consequences of your vote so remember that the next time you are crowing about how your 401K is doing when diabetics are dying because every single time you hear the word 'socialism' you freak out.
You know the billions we are paying in tariffs now to the farmers who are holding the bag in the trade war with China that is so easy to win? That's free money from the government. That's socialism. Oh and nobody has come to take your guns yet either.
But here we are with our country on the precipice of sliding down the slippery slope of tyranny because you would rather turn your head to the fact that your majority leader Kevin McCarthy was taking cash from the indicted foreign agent Les Parnas. You certainly aren't fooling anyone but yourselves when you nod your head in agreement with that 'no collusion' bull puckey. Are you that willing to forget the 70 year Cold War against our enemy Russia so you can now just let them funnel as much money as they can because they support your preferred team? Did you ever stop for a minute and wonder why the Kremlin is supporting your team? Do you even care?
Because the rest of us are on team America and Trump has proven over and over and over again that he doesn't care as much for our national security as he does his buildings in Turkey! What would he have to do before you took stock of all that he has done and say 'it's time to get rid of him?'
He invited the Russians into the Oval Office and crowed about firing Comey who you all loved so much when he gave it to Hillary just before the election didn't you? Then as if that were not bad enough, he gave them top secret information about an imbedded Mossad agent inside ISIS. You all couldn't stop clutching your pearls about Hillary's emails which were never seen and never hacked as if they contained the secret to some Indiana Jones chamber that would reveal something so terrible she had to go to jail but you're utterly silent about Trump actually handing over top secret information to the Russians! WHY?
Do you even think about the gold star families he slandered and defamed because they dared to speak out against him? If Barack Obama had not lowered the flag in honor of John McCain, you all would have spontaneously combust in rage and not only impeached him but removed him from office. But of course Obama would never do something so repugnant and dastardly, Trump did.
He has attacked anyone and everyone with the most disgusting lies he can conjure up as his wife talks about not bullying. I could list literally hundreds of examples of him demonstrating that he is the very worst of us but his attack last night on Debbie Dingell just as she spends her first Christmas without her husband who served in congress longer than anyone else is just about the most vile thing imaginable. She's a widow and he had the unmitigated temerity to suggest he was in hell because she is a democrat who voted to impeach him. Some in the crowd audibly gasped at his disgusting remark and that's why I decided to try and lure some of you back from the cult of Trump the same way I would if I could go back in time and save anyone at Jonestown.
We are Americans. In for a penny, in for a pound. I cannot believe that 63 million of you feel proud to have voted for this cretin after all of the servility to Putin and the soiling of our good name among our allies. He doesn't know how government works. He did not learn on the job. He used our money to get another country to interfere in our election. If your ideas are so much better, why does the leader of your party feel the need to cheat?
Because he only knows how to cheat. The Russians helped him win and he knows it, we all know it. He has also not stopped lying about that or anything else for that matter. Have you no decency at long last? Will you simply allow every one of your congressional representatives to lie to you with impunity? They are showing you the utmost contempt because they are certain you are so dumb that you will believe their lies and do absolutely nothing to punish them for their naked villainy. Are you that stupid?
The country needs you to sit out of the game for a while because your quarterback keeps helping the other teams win. It's almost like he wants Russia to win, and China, and North Korea, and Syria, and Iran, and Turkey. Everyone else but the United States. I know how hard it is to quiet that racist demon in your head, I used to have it but I know immigrants are not our problem, propaganda is and you need to stop consuming so much of it because it has gotten you to the point where you are okay with taking children from their parents and sticking them in detention centers and when they die from neglect and lack of medical care, you turn your palms up in the air and think they deserved it because they came here illegally.
Are you really that monstrous now? That barbaric? That mean? That hateful? Or is it just Trump who has temporarily made you sick like he's sick? I don't know but I sure wish I could sit down with my Republican relatives again and have some turkey and dressing with a ton of gravy and ham on Christmas. I miss that America before Fox News existed and made you all so sick with lies.
I know none of you will read this but I just wanted this testimonial to survive so I can show them later that I was willing to try.
