Just curious, if you had a large budget, would upgrade to a full frame or buy one?
I would go full frame for a couple of reasons. First, it's how I'm built. If I have the crop I'll always wonder if I could do better with a full frame. With a full frame the reverse wouldn't apply.
From a practical standpoint , within a brand the better glass has always been made for the full frame cameras. When you are using the best, there is no equivocating. If the end result isn't good, there is only one place to put the blame.
If you mean would I buy a crop sensor the answer is yes. I have always owned crop sensor cameras up until a year ago. I've now owned a d610 and d750. I personally don't see the big difference for what I shoot. I'm spending a lot on glass too. If I had to do over again I would have bought a d500. Don't get me wrong I love the d750 and the d610 it's just that I'm not a professional and don't use it to its full capacity. I had a lot of dx glass and had to sell to replace. I'm not sure I answered your question fairly because if I had unlimited budget I'd get d850. Probably just confused you some more. Why do the RE agents have to have full frame. I'll bet pic for pic they can't tell the difference. Most pros shoot full frame for the features the camera has and not so much for the quality of pictures.
Hi, someone just listed a d610 with 43,000 shutter count for only 525.00 including shipping. Great deal. Bryan
I’m so excited. I finally found one on eBay with low shutter count. Should be here soon. I’m starting my kit with the D610 and the 50mm f/1.8G I still need flash and camera bag. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am also looking at a Macro reverse ring or a used macro lens.
My Pentax will be my backup.
I am not using my D610 for real estate photos as you have indicated as your primary purpose. That said for any general usage I would recommend the Nikon SB400 (you will need to find this used on eBay) for an extremely compact low power unit (see Ken Rockwell's review on this) and I have found the SB600 (also an older flash available on eBay for my more powerful requirements). For the lens I have the same 50mm f/1.8g that you indicate; however, the vast majority of my usage is with the 28-300.
Wishing you the very best and hope/trust you will find the D610 to be as fantastic a camera as I have.
Well that's great news ,congrats. I wouldn't recommend a reverse macro ring. Won't go into all that. Stick with a good macro.
In regards to a bag. You will be surprised how fast you will accumulate items, so buy bigger to start. I would go to a local camera store and look at used ones. You need to put your hands on them 1st. I would 1st think about getting a remote shutter release or cable release and a good tripod. After that learn the camera and then look for another lens. Enjoy your new toy. Bryan
I’m thinking the same. Going to my local camera store to see what they have in used lens, accessories and to try out the bags. I have a tripod. I appreciate the advice.

That is marvelous news. Congratulations!
Thank you. I’m excited. Going to drive some backroads this weekend and start learning the camera.

Thank you. I can't seem to find one with a low shutter count but will keep looking.
When you think you found one, ask the seller to take a pic and send to you unedited.
Then upload the image to camera shutter count.com
The site will return the count.
Don’t tell the seller why. You want the pic.
I got the shutter count from the photographer when I spoke with him. Maybe I am naive, but I believe him. He is a professional photographer who bought the camera new last year, then received a Sony mirrorless camera kit for his birthday and likes it better. Will of course check out shutter count myself.
