Hi, can any of you hedgehogers recommend a good wireless remote that will work well with my Nikon d850. I am not a professional so I don’t need a super expensive unit just one that works well. Thanks

Page 295 of your D850 manual lists multiple Nikon-branded wireless accessories compatible with your camera.

I highly recommend the RFN-4s kit. I have used it on my present D850 and my previous D810 for many years. It has performed very well. The advantage is that the receiver can be permanently attached to the camera. I don't recall the actual price but it was around $60. Good luck.

Could you give me a little more information on this please. I did find a RPS for $80.00 on B & H, is that it?

I'm not a Nikonite, but doesn't the Snapbridge app do that using your phone? https://petapixel.com/2017/12/01/nikon-snapbridge-app-redesigned-full-manual-control-new-ui/

I totally agree, been using this for over 6 years now, a wonderful unit. Currently $59.95 on Amazon

I bought it from SMDV (Korea) but, someone just pointed out, it is available at Amazon for about $60.00.

A quick search on YT using RFN-4s only gave several reviews.

Just go to Amazon.com and search "RFN 4s", it will pop right up.

It seems you got some answers. It also appears someone hijacked your post.

I just use the Nikon ML-L3 remote. Only issue is it has to be pointed at the front of the camera. That said, I seldom find the need for a wireless remote. I have a wired one as well. I'm assuming it will work with the D850.

Ihave a Vello Freewave Plus 2.4ghz radio remote purchased New on eBay from a reputable seller seller for $32 including shipping! Unit works GREAT !!..No issues good for up to 300 ft, and doesn't need to be line of site to activate. Nikon's top models have done away with the ML-L3 infrared system on their newer dslrs.
