Wow I just got a deal on a Wacom tablet and pencil and so far I love it, the pen is taking a little to get used to. The one I got is for Windows 7 8 Vista and 2000 but works great on Windows 10.

I know there are other editor's on here that use a Wacom, are there any tips? So far to me it's just like using a mouse but a little more fine.

For one, think pen pressure. In my poor little pea brain it is like adjusting the flow in the brush tool. Figure you will get much better answers but that is one of the ways to visualize it.

The number one thing you should do is remap your WACOM surface area. Here is a link explaining why. It will make your work so much easier...

It’s independent of the OS.

Thanks for the tip. I remapped it down to the top left quarter. So much faster and easier that way. So far I'm loving it I was showing my wife and she couldn't believe what it would do and how fast it is.

Now I'll tell you I picked it up brand new for 8 bucks in a second hand store unopened and still sealed. Is is the graph are for which is a 4 by 5 perfect size for my desk. It works with the Lightroom and Photoshop. I'm already starting to realize I don't know how I did without it. It came with a mouse also let the mouse that is sticky on the rubber part which I could care less cuz I'm not using the mouse anyway.

I suggest you set the pen tracking mode to be 'relative' as opposed to 'absolute'. Less arm movement when wanting to work on various parts of the screen. It acts more like a mouse or touchpad in that the cursor does not jump to the new location if you pick up the pen, move it to another area and place it in proximity again.
