I had a unit and used it with a Nikon D7200. I found it to be not as useful as advertised. It was an expensive toy. Sold it for much less than I paid only to get rid of it. My advice is not to waste your money.

Does anyone out there have one of those Arsenal attachments for you DSLR?

Are they worth it for time lapse photos?

I have to wonder just how polite we would be if this was not an anonymous venue, but real-time?

Cheers!

I have a CamRanger and Pluto Trigger. I stopped there. I had read about the Arsenal but decided I could do what I needed given the Nikon D850 program options and the devices I bought. When Arsenal preview for its crowd funding came out I thought its abilities were too good to be true. Based on all of the reviews I have read, my premonition was apparently correct.

Perhaps you should do some research on how not to be a #%@ hole.

I think that name calling at this forum is uncalled for. Please let's stop this. As for the comment to the original poster (ghgribble) my experience with this piece of gear was very simple. I Googled the contraption. Then I told my wife about it. She asked me what does it do and how it works. I stood there with a blank look upon my face. After ten minutes she shook her head and walked away. At that moment my GAS attack was cured. My advice is after my research, the price doesn't justify the use of the device. Save your money!

Happy Shooting!

Have one feel like I wasted money on an accessory that that works but I can take same quality with out it shooting in RAW, knowing how to use my camera and post processing with Lightroom and Photoshop. Stacking works but very cumbersome and time consuming in the field. Have not tried time laps but suspect would be problematic as other features.

Regarding your comments as how rude some posters can be you do have several choices in that regard.
1. Accept that anonymity of this chat room can very easily breed rudeness and contemptuousness.
2. Ignore that troll like response and continue on to the next.
3. You can block offending characters who cannot provide useful or valuable information.
Finally, in the first few months after I had registered, I encountered a few trolls. I blocked them. Regardless of what they think of me, what I think of them is my personal and private secret. HA HA HA

Then why on Earth did you bother replying when you have nothing useful to add?

Um....you don't have anything useful either...neither do I. So just let the answer stand, get over it and move on. :0)

You obviously did not read the entire thread, because I did give useful information as well as links.

There's one on eBay for @ $100, if'n you're interested.
I'd only be interested in trying it out.
What does this thing think this shot's settings should be, versus my guesstimating.
I'm a little shaky, so I don't like to shoot much slower than 1/500- what would this do?
Maybe I like vivid -1, what would this do?
I prefer shooting at f/5.6 to f/8- leftover residual bias from my film days- what would this do?
I'd do some caomparing and thinking ... and I'd be done.

Alert! Segue! Alert!
Once upon a time, like @ 40 years ago, I figured some of this out. I wanted a cement mixer, for a month.
Rental was $60 a day, so I bought one thru the Recycler for $100. Made a walkway, a pair of slightly raised flower gardens, and my neighbor paid me $50 for a weekend. I had knocked out all the old cement, changed the belt and put air in the tires. Six weeks later I sold it thru the Recycler for $100.
There's a few monitor checkers/ calibrators going thru eBay that I believe follow the same pattern.
Somebody buys one good/used, and a month later it's back again- same picture, price and condition.
So: I'm checking out this eBay Arsenal. For $100, I can check it out with a half dozen cameras and a selection of lenses, make a series of judgemental (manual vs AF vs Arsenal) comparisons, and resell it.

Check the cables. The arsenal comes with one for the camera it was originally purchased for. It might be a USB mini, micro or C (I think they are the only options) Make sure the cable is the right one for your camera.
