I don't know if I'd have had the nerve to stay in a tent, but even tenters have to stay within a designated camps in Kruger. We stayed in cottages inside various camps. They close up the camps during the night hours. Gates to the park open at 5:30 am and close at 6:30 pm. The only animals inside are monkeys.

I like your hyena photos. As many have said, they have their rightful, important place, no matter what people think about them. As far as killing and eating humans goes, well, why not?--if that makes the most sense at the time. Stay out of their way. They are interesting, well-created animals. Thanks for posting these.
