Gmail with google drive can also transfer larger files, Youd have to check the size limit, but should be fine. Regular gmail maxes at 25 but with google drive it is higher.

Thanks

You can send raw files in dropbox. All you need to do is put the images into a folder and share the entire folder. If they don't have dropbox, they can use the opportunity to get a free 2 gb account. I've been doing this for about 8 yrs, transferring raw, tiff, psd, etc to and from clients and students. If you want to use a folder in the Photos folder you can - but the recipient may not see the raw file as a thumbnail or view the gallery online.

Let me know if you can't retrieve a file in this link:

That's a good idea, putting them into a ZIP file first. I've already culled! 🙈

But still, you should have not problems with RAW files nor sending multiple individual files. I do both all the time. Maybe there's a few differences on my part:

1. I create a 'share folder' in Dropbox.
2. I open that shared folder in Dropbox in a browser window.
2. I select multiple image on my computer and 'drag' them into the browser window with the shared folder displayed.

This kicks-off a background transfer and progress bar in the browser window. All the files eventually are uploaded to dropbox and available as individual downloads or a select-all download, where dropbox builds a zip and downloads as a zip.

See if any of these ideas help your situation.

How about an SD card in the snail mail?

Agree. Copy to a thumb drive (Keep original SD) and mail or hand-deliver to your friend if you can.

I send my large files via gmail. If it's too large, it automatically goes to gdrive and sends the recipient a link to download. easy peasy

Try the free

Wetransfer.com

This will send up to 2 GB for free. This gives the person a link to download your files, the link is good for a week.

A second vote for we transfer.com. You can upload up to 2 GB with the free version. It sends an email link to the person you’re sending the files to for the download. The person has one week to download the files. Wetransfer.com sends you an email when the files are downloaded and a reminder two days before the week is up if they haven’t been.

Put on flash drive and mail it.
Why make recipient suffer downloading those photos and tieing up their computer?
Pretty selfish.

You don't have enough room in DropBox? There are lots of free storage sites. You could put some in DropBox, some in Google Drive, etc.

I have recently sent a load of raw files using WeTranser, it did take forever as my internet is snail pace but it is free and and excellent way of transferring your files. My son received the files ready for his editing

Why not pick up a 1T external drive and put your files on it. Mail it to your friend and then he or she can transfer the edited files to it and send it back to you.

I've done that before- not with this amount of photos, though. I could try?

I'd like to try and not split them up, but another good option! Thanks
