Huh?! Although I have had Macs forever, I am not an "evangelist," nor a rooter. I taught in a graphic department at a college that had both Macs and PCs. While the end results of programs like Photoshop were fine in both machines, ease of maintenance and use was much better with Macs. What objective reasons have you for your comment?

Sounds like Adobe's issue, NOT Apple!

Does anybody know if LR v.6.14 the last stand alone version for MAC works with Catalina? I doubt that Adobe will do anything to upgrade LR 6.14 though in checking the App it is 64 bit.

v.8.4.1 classic and windows 10. The startup interface changed and it worked fine last night. I got home about and opened it about 7 eastern time.

Why so many posts bashing Apple when he is using Windows?

My wife is a PC Person while I had switched to Macs a few years ago. She seems to spend more time "fixing" her computers than I do and she is better at these gadgets than I am. Just sayin'.

In short, it’s the portal to your Creative Cloud world, and makes it easier than ever to get to the assets and content you need, when you need them.

in other words, ”we are trying to make it easier for you to buy more stuff from us.”

Windows 10, Mac OSX, and Adobe CC, aren't about managing efficiently the hardware in your computer. They are all about trying to sell you apps.

Lucky for them we are so stupid, eh? Or are we able to choose, and therefore smarter than those who like to feel superior?

Not so sure I disagree with this. At time I feel I am both. Then too there are times if it wasn't for digital cameras I might turn off my computer and forget to turn it back on. Did that with the tv over 9 years ago. Havn't missed it at all.

I’ve been a photographer for 50 years. I’ve been a computer scientist for 42 years. It’s not about being superior, it’s about having a longer historical perspective than most.

The year I graduated from high school, Popular Science published the first construction plans for the Altair 8080. When I had my first job as a systems engineer, Bill Gates and Paul Allen were writing a Basic compiler for the Altair in an office in the bottom of a apartment building two blocks from my apartment in north Seattle.

If you boys and girls haven't heard. Apple has a new operating software macOS Catalina. There's alot of software that will not run on this platform. Adobe was talking about this weeks ago. Photo Mechanic is another one if you are a credentialed shooter. I would hold off upgrading for a while till everyone else catches up with Apple.

And Catalina has a number of glitches, like hiding your dock on a Mac. I would stay away from it for a while. I updated my MacAir and have had a lot of problems so my desk top and lap top will wait.

I have updated the computer I am writing this on, a MacBook Pro 2018, with absolutely no issues. My iMac PRO will wait for Adobe-Apple fixes, but it's running fine on here. My DOCK has not been affected. Best of luck.
