Got home today and the interface was changed. Well Light room has turned from working well to not working well at all. Real slow and I get the blue swirly a lot. Sometimes it even goes black and will blink out for several seconds. BUMMER!

Which Lightroom? On what platform?

I've been using Lightroom Classic v.8.4.1 on my Mac all day without a hiccup.

Maybe you missed the email from the Adobe head shed like I did.

"The all new Creative Cloud desktop application has been redesigned, from the ground up, to be a more intuitive way to access your apps, update them, and discover new apps that complement or extend your creativity. Creative Cloud desktop also gives you new levels of power and control over your creative workflow by allowing you to collect, manage and share assets, fonts and more through a rich new Creative Cloud Libraries integration. You’ll also have easier access to help content along with comprehensive search and asset management features. In short, it’s the portal to your Creative Cloud world, and makes it easier than ever to get to the assets and content you need, when you need them."

This should not effect Lightroom Classic performance. If that is giving you trouble, something else is going on.

If you boys and girls haven't heard. Apple has a new operating software macOS Catalina. There's alot of software that will not run on this platform. Adobe was talking about this weeks ago. Photo Mechanic is another one if you are a credentialed shooter. I would hold off upgrading for a while till everyone else catches up with Apple.

I usually update immediately (MacBook Pro),with no problems of note, but the newest OS, Catalina, 10.15 is another story, a big change to the OS, not just a revision. Almost all heavy users of Adobe say, "Wait until new bugs are worked out." Which I am going to do.

One of the best kept secrets about the Adobe subscription is that you have access to hundreds of nice fonts for free. It looks like they are not trying to push this aspect of the subscription. I would also guess that people really did not understand about the other programs included in the package, such as Spark. Today people need to be spoon-fed anything as they don't seem to be able to find things on their own and I think Adobe wanted everything to be more apparent. Not a big deal, it's actually a nice new arrangement. If you have auto update your programs were most likely updated, which might have included the new Mac operating system for Apple, not Adobe. But it does seem that LR and the new system are not yet playing well together.

I am sorry for your troubles. Stories like this are the reason I don't have a Mac.
