Hello HH'ers,
I am going with the wife for a little R&R to Branson, MO in two weeks and hope you will all make suggestions as to where to go in the area (120 mile diameter) to photograph. We have never been there and although we may take in a show and do a walk through the town we are not glitz and glitter tourists. We are really more interested in the great outdoors and enjoyment of God's beautiful Earth. We are an older and severely out of shape couple. We like to hike but cannot handle steep inclines. We are hoping for some Fall color and are looking for flora and fauna. All help is appreciated and we look forward to all responses.

I don't know where you plan to stay but check out "Top of the Rock". It's a beautiful resort in a small town next to Branson. The resort is very photogenic in itself with views of Table Rock Lake, waterfalls, a golf course, that sits high upon a hill. It was built by Jonny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops. Google "Big Cedar Lodge" for information.

Another place to photograph is "Dogwood Canyon", just a short drive from Top of the Rock. The best time there is when the Dogwood trees are in bloom, sometime in April.

Also, be sure to see the show in Branson "Samson" if it's still playing.

Have a wonderful time and get lots of photos.

Believe you think of Silver Dollar City.

When we lived in the area I was in Dogwood Canyon several times a year. If you can bike, I recommend you rent a bike as much of the canypn is flat so walking is also ease. You will find many wonderful places to take pictures. If you take the tram you will most of them.

Here in the fall, you will see leaves on the stream with tout below.

You are right, Silver Dollar City it was. Getting old has it's moments.
