Zion National Park is an American national park located in southwestern Utah near the town of Springdale. A prominent feature of the 229-square-mile park is Zion Canyon, which is 15 miles long and up to 2,640 ft deep. The canyon walls are reddish and tan-colored Navajo Sandstone eroded by the North Fork of the Virgin River. The lowest point in the park is 3,666 ft at Coalpits Wash and the highest peak is 8,726 ft. There are plenty of trails to go hiking.
Any suggestions, comments or critiques are always welcome. That's how I can improve my photography.
Thank you for looking.

I enjoyed your post, Moondoggie. I found it interesting none of my pictures were like any of yours. Zion NP is a wonder of nature. sm24:
Great shots. Zion is a beautiful place to visit.
Loved the dark blue sky against the red rock
Can you tell me how far from a parking lot some of these wonderful pics are? thanks
Some are 200 yards, other are a 25 minute hike.
Good effort. As others have said, very hard to shoot on bright day with high dynamic range. One suggestion: when in the field look at the histogram and if the extends all the way to the right, you can try exposure compensation or bracket for hdr merge later or exposure blending in photoshop. I have been there once and we had same conditions...bright sunny with dark shadows. My photos were not good
Thanks for the tip. I will try it when the conditions come up on other shots. Thanks again for your comments.
