Zion National Park is an American national park located in southwestern Utah near the town of Springdale. A prominent feature of the 229-square-mile park is Zion Canyon, which is 15 miles long and up to 2,640 ft deep. The canyon walls are reddish and tan-colored Navajo Sandstone eroded by the North Fork of the Virgin River. The lowest point in the park is 3,666 ft at Coalpits Wash and the highest peak is 8,726 ft. There are plenty of trails to go hiking.

Any suggestions, comments or critiques are always welcome. That's how I can improve my photography.

Thank you for looking.

The first is under-exposed, the second would be helped if shot as HDR, the third is underexposed, the fourth is over-exposed and would be helped if shot as HDR, the fifth is underexposed, the sixth is underexposed, and the seventh is underexposed.

High dynamic range shots of sunlit mountains and shadowy valleys are tough to shoot. When you are in it, your eyes are changing exposure as you move focus from the bright to the dark areas. So you want to do a little "dodge and burn" in the processing; and shooting a bracket and combining them in post is one way to do it.

Zion is a beautiful place, and with a bit of processing your shots can pop.

Great shots. And, everyone, go after Oct. 31st so you can do your own driving. You may get snowed on, but better than being sheep-herded.

Well, you did ask for "critiques" and jc took you seriously. Try his suggestions and see what you like better.
I love Zion and want to go back someday. The best part of the experience is being there. Now you just need some work on very high contrast images. As John said in the Ballad, "Christ you know it ain't easy."

Shooting narrow canyons with sky is always tricky. But the last one looks nearly perfect to me! And it's a good view of the river.

Zion is an amazing national park. I did find photography is challenging on bright sunny days due to the canyon walls and frequent dark shadows along with bright sunlight in the same composition.

IMHO, # 2 & #4 need the highlights reduced and shadows brought up. The under exposed ones could use a bit more on the white slider and if the sky gets too dark, reduce the blue saturation a bit. These are lightroom suggestions but a lot of other PP software has the same basic controls.
