I decided to do one more post from my recent trip to Glacier National Park. The most frequent criticism of my previous posts on the park was that there was too much HDR or the colors were a little too saturated.

These photos are all different from my previous posts. Many were taken with my iPhone 7, some from a moving vehicle. Most of the colors are less intense than those on my previous posts.

So beautiful deanfl! Loved it...

So much better. Your Lake McDonald photo is wonderful. Less is more. Keep playing. That's part of the fun. You have a great collection.

Much better. Some real nice country out there. Use to live about 30 miles from there. Sure do miss it. Thanks for the memories.

These are beautiful, they make me feel like I was there instead of just looking at pics. Thank you

Personally I like HDR images and more saturation. I would not change what I like to create for no one. I did not see your previous images and even so would not have tried to tell you which way to process.

So many in photography think they have all the answers on how an image should look and they try and project their styles to others work thus cloning themselves. The best advice I can give is be true to yourself, your vision of the scene, before you snap the shutter.

I march to the beat of a different drummer than most but that is what makes a style. I have success selling my images most HDR for publication. Magazines like crisp saturated images and HDR prints well in magazine sizes.

I looked at your previous images and the have pop without being overcooked. This current set are nice but to me somewhat dark with shadows being overpowered by highlights. Just my opinion and what I like to look at.

Do what you want to do with your images not what someone else does...

Thank you for your detailed comments. I appreciate your taking the time to write all of them.

I just looked at some of your photos on this site. It seems we have similar tastes in HDR. Congrats on your publishing successes.

My first and main photo critic is my wife. She likes HDR and that is what we hang on our walls.

Your post came just in time. I was about ready to sell all of my main photo gear and start traveling with just my iPhone. I am only half kidding. 😁😁
