I recently learned that Lensrental.com will ship the lens to any UPS location. This may be useful if you are renting a large lens and flying to your destination, and don't want the hassle of carrying the lens with you.

Just be sure the destination party understands what you're doing! It's a good idea to request a signature on delivery, too.

I once shipped a fairly large order of rental gear (AV equipment) to a hotel. It took half a day to locate the boxes, which had been placed in a kitchen storage locker with canned goods! Fortunately, the guy who signed for it showed up and traced its path for us. Funny... It was addressed to me, at the hotel, for the company meeting where it was to be used. Anyone who touched it should have called the front desk or the sales office. I was sweating bullets...

Looking for recommendations for renting a zoom lens for a Nikon D500

I rented the Nikon 500mm F5.6 for my vacation. I used with my D500 and loved it. Light weight and sharp.

Another endorsement for LensRentals.com. Superb service with lens FedEx'd and you have to sign for receipt of the shipment.
