Looking for recommendations for renting a zoom lens for a Nikon D500
Lensrental.com is a very reliable company with great service.

Thumbs up to Lensrental too.
Another vote for Lensrental.com
I rented with lensrentals recently. Everything as expected no surprises, arrived on time well protected, came with a prepaid return ticket to drop off at Walgreens or any FedEx drop location, acknowledgement that they got the return. Oh yeah, the lens was great.
I've rented from LensRentals.com many times. They're very good. They clean all equipment so you get clean lenses and everything. They even clean the sensors in digital cameras after each rental. They include a pre-paid return shipping label. What zoom lens are you renting? I have two of the Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses. It's sharp. has excellent build quality, and has one-half the distortion of Nikon's superzoom lenses.

I've used LensPro to Go and they have everything and are very reasonable.
I had a great experience with borrowlenses.com Make sure you add the optional insurance if the lens is going to be at risk. Also, if it an extreme zoom -- like up to 500 mm -- rent it a few days early to get used to it.

Classic full frame zooms for professional use:
14-24mm f/2.8
24-70mm f/2.8
70-200mm f/2.8
Reliable rental houses:

Wildlife and sports photographers should ask someone who does that sort of work about very long telephoto zooms.

Thanks to all. Loos like lensrental is the place for me to go.
Yes to lensrental. I've used them a few times with no issues.
I recently learned that Lensrental.com will ship the lens to any UPS location. This may be useful if you are renting a large lens and flying to your destination, and don't want the hassle of carrying the lens with you.
