The Narrows has been on my bucket list for a while now. My first 2 times in the park the water was to high to hike it. Going in early Nov has two advantages 1. The water is lower so it's easier walking. You don't have to fight the current as much. 2. It's easier to take pictures without people in them. I can't imagine trying to take pictures with the summer crowds. Picture 3 was a 25 sec exposure. With about 5 seconds to go a person walked around the corner and I mumbled "oh damn". The photographer next to me said as long as they keep moving they should ghost right out of the picture. Sure enough the person was no where to be seen in the photo. Very cool! Anyways the Narrows did not disappoint.

Those are awesome. Your vision, technique, exposure and PP skills are excellent.
I didn't get a chance to do The Narrows when I was there, like you the first time the water was too high.
But wow you did great.

I did so want to see that when I was there. But my hiking companion said absolutely not! Now I wish I had ignored her! These are beautiful pictures.

I'm not sure how to answer that. Your only as old as you feel. I've hiked with people 65 years old and I had to keep up with them not the other way around.

#2 is my favorite with great foreground rock anchoring the image. Great work.

Thank you! I'm still learning photography and was under the impression I needed to shoot landscapes with a f16 aperture. With my wide angle lens I think I could have shot at f8 and probably gotten a little sharper pictures. I guess there's always next time.
