The Narrows has been on my bucket list for a while now. My first 2 times in the park the water was to high to hike it. Going in early Nov has two advantages 1. The water is lower so it's easier walking. You don't have to fight the current as much. 2. It's easier to take pictures without people in them. I can't imagine trying to take pictures with the summer crowds. Picture 3 was a 25 sec exposure. With about 5 seconds to go a person walked around the corner and I mumbled "oh damn". The photographer next to me said as long as they keep moving they should ghost right out of the picture. Sure enough the person was no where to be seen in the photo. Very cool! Anyways the Narrows did not disappoint.

Gorgeous pix. The narrows was on our bucket list. Every time we went to Zion - in every season - the water level was too high to go from the "main" entrance, and hiking around to the "back" entrance was daunting as we aged. Nice to see such great pix.

Thanks fbeaston. Zion is my 2nd favorite park in the US behind Glacier. Really all of southern Utah is a photographer's dream.

Damn that's bad luck. The nice thing about the Narrows is you only need to hike a couple miles to see the good stuff. I saw lots of older people hiking in there. In fact every time I stopped to take pictures a retired couple passed me and then I would pass them later. We must have lapped each other 20 times during the day. After a while we started laughing "oh what a surprise seeing you in here".

It was my favorite park but it got too crowded. Same with Arches.
