Super panning work Paul. Like them all but the upside down shot is my favorite.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The airshow is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), an international organization based in Oshkosh, and is the largest aviation-related gathering in the world. The show lasts a week, usually beginning on the last Monday in July. During the gathering, the airport's control tower is the busiest in the world.

Vicky Benzing began aerobatic competition in 2005. She got the racing bug in 2010 earning "Rookie of the Year" for both Sport and Jet classes at the National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

The Red Bull Aerobatic Helicopter is an MBB BO-105, a multipurpose light-twin-engine German model introduced in 1970 and known for a "hingeless" rotor design that gives it high maneuverability, fast climb performance, and the ability to pull some crazy tricks. This image is the only one of this post using a 2x / 600mm configuration.

Nice shots Paul. I'll bet I was standing right next to you during Patty's routine. I got a nice shot of her cutting the ribbon upside down at the end of her routine.

From the looks of it you were at the north end of the south 40 at a photo stand I might have even been there with you but I did not stay long too much to see😜

Thank you Paul! I moved around from day to day, but found a spot almost directly across from the Red Bulls helicopter that allowed for shade under a plane waiting for the show to start. That shady "center ish" spot I think was 3 times of the 6 days.

Except for the rainy day and one other, I was at the flight for every minute of all the day and night shows trying to maximum this year's admission.

Thank you John, Doc, Jimmy, billmck, saxman71, Susan, James, Bluefish, woodweasel, Vince! I was out yesterday here in Chicago for the Friday practice day where the whole scene is so very different that Oshkosh. At Oshkosh the planes are much much closer to the audience as well as taking off and landing typically in front of the crowd. In Chicago, every performer comes in from an airport in Indiana so there is only the performance over the lakefront.
