Excellent! The way the gator blends with his surroundings is well captured and does evoke mood.

I love this shot. It is natural to the max and really shows the creature in its environment including the weather. It would make a great jigsaw puzzle! And though the image IS rather dark as some have noted, I believe that adds to its spookiness.

Alligator photos are so boring! I decided to try something creative. Thus as Friday's Tropical Depression or heavy rains hit south Florida I ventured out to the Everglades to get a creative Gator photo.

This is the result. In the torrential downpour I photographed this gator lurking in the rain and searching for his next meal. So what do you feel about this photo? Did I achieve my goal?
Please view in the download format.

Wouldn't want to come across that big fella. He looks mighty sinister. You've captured a unique view,
treadwl.

Very striking and extremely evocative. I don't want to become a snack.
Now where exactly is the beast in South Florida. Hopefully it will be too tired to come up to New York and hang out in the city sewer.

Thank you. I agree that the dark lends to the spooky nature of the image.

Glad you liked this one. Actually he is only about a 8 footer, the really big one never really gave me the shot I wanted. He was about 12 feet and really look evil.

He may be giving me the "eye", but I'm on land and he isn't!

Thanks for looking.

This little guy (about 8 feet) is over in the Naples area. He doesn't have to go to New York---the folks from the Bronx come down here! Then they are so busy taking selfies they are easy prey!

Thanks for looking and commenting.
