You don't have to buy a subscription. You can actually buy MS Office for $149 (does not include Outlook). If you need Outlook you can buy the suite for $250. Take a look at B&H.

Look at the title of this section: "General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk)." Note the "non-photography talk" part

Try this:
1. Choose insert -> Header Footer ->Footer ->Default style
2. Choose Insert ->Page Number
3. Choose Format -> Align -> Center
You should have a centered page number in the footer area . It will increment with each new page.

But it is in the Non-Photography, Chit Chat section. Therefore, not inappropriate.
