#1 IED strike on my vehicle, #2 we learned to put bottles of water in all the compartments not just for extra drinking but also to slow down any shrapnel, #3 My TC seat where I was sitting. Thank god for transparent armor which stopped a chunk of shrapnel before it penetrated all the way through the last plane of glass. I have that piece as a reminder of just how close I was to leaving this world. #4 one of my Soldiers surveying the spot where the 2 155mm rounds were buried.

Thank you for your service. The third photo is frightening.

Thank goodness you (and your companions too, I hope) came out of this one. The manufacturer of the vehicle might be interested in seeing your photos of the damage, and thus figure ways to improve even more on a vehicle that saved some important lives. Thank you for your service and wishing you a safe return home.

Fabulous photos. Your documentation of your tour is something you'll look back on, after all the man upstairs is looking after you. Thank you for your service and praying you will come hone safely.

Deployed combat military regardless of their assignment are truly heros to me and hopefully to every person living under our American flag.

I am amazed when I see pictures like these. I have a good friend who was there and has pictures he finally showed me. I have extreme admiration for those who went and did things that would terrify me. May God give you peace.

Thanks for showing me just how well these vehicles protect you from certain death with 2 detonated weapons in one take. It has to be the scariest split second in anyone's life and you are blessed by a country that cares about you.

Thanks again for your service and for these amazing images. God bless our men & women over there.

we all came out fine, and the manufacture or people who worked for them under KBR contracting to fix our vehicles were in country with us so they know
