Even running on two computers at once could be a problem. I would not have the same photos open on both computers, if you did which one would be the correct version? Just a computer geek here and am very aware of such things as deadly embrace.

I have Luminar 3 and it's fantastic. Easy to use and very affordable.

I really like Lightroom CC. It is the first step I take after a photo session. Easy to review and cull the collection of photos I seem to get, with only maybe 20% worth keeping. The processing of automatic adding people to their group is amazing, the only time I have had mis-assignments is with my grand kids matching some early baby pictures with their pictures now. Also easy to determine the photos that I want to put into a separate group to take into photoshop. I also like that on any of my platforms,(laptop, iPad, iPhone, desktop computer) all of my pictures are available. I don't like that I have to pay every year (I use the yearly plan), but for me it is worth it.

Something no one talks about....

Luminar chocked. Ok, fine.

How much memory does your computer have? Changing software might not be the solution... Just saying.

Totally agree! This weekend I upgraded my laptop to 16GB of RAM (from 8 GB), and a SSD.

Yikes ... I couldn’t be happier! This laptop now flies. My Luminar 3 program went from 90 seconds to open to 15 seconds! Saving an edited file went from 120-150 seconds to 18 seconds! I can live with that! Opening PSE 14 now takes 3 seconds. Everything else is 1-3 seconds.

I feel like I have a super computer on my hands. I had never personally done an upgrade to a laptop before. Watched a couple of YouTube videos, bought the parts on Amazon, cloned the HDD to the SSD (45 minutes) and it took me about 30 minutes to install the SSD and memory in my laptop. The YouTube videos were very instructive. Much easier to do than I thought. If you’re the least bit technically inclined, it’s very doable.

If you’re not and your system is slow, have a technician upgrade your laptop with additional memory and an SSD. You’ll be very glad you did.
