Used to watch that show in England, growing up - early 50s. We didn't have a TV, so I would go to a next door neighbors' - to watch it. Can't remember Cheerios - as being advertised on it. Weetabix, maybe …

I see. Didn't even know Cheerios was around when that show began … when was it - 1949?
It was shown on BBC back then. They don't have commercials, anyway. You know, I don't actually remember. It could've been ITV, too. Back then, the program was shown first, and the commercials came, afterwards - so, even if there WAS a connection - it wasn't done as though a specific product sponsored it.
