With 8000 actual miles!
She was in storage for over 30 years!
I had to redo her brakes!
And refresh everything thing else!
Except her brand new interior!
Beautiful car. We had one for a couple of years.
My favorite 'Vettes were the original Sting Ray series (note, not spelled Stingray then. That came later) which I believe debuted in 1963. The new 'Vette is a vast improvement in appearance over the models of the past few years and if mechanically reliable should be winners for those who can afford the price. Your beautiful '78 Pace Car is a prize indeed and I envy your find and respect the amazing care you took in restoring it to driving condition.
Great looking Corvette, my favorite is still the 427 1967 Corvette coupe.

It took 4 months to complete all mechanical work!
Now she runs like a new Car.
Considering she only has 8000 miles
She is new!
Yes, it's quite nice, Kemo Sabay … but, I kinda like the yellow one, next to it, better … what's that?
Hi-yo, Silver … and awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay we go!!!!!
Thank you!
For your very kind words!
The newer models look like their roof is about the height of the hood on that '78. They are so low, I could get into one by falling then would need assistance getting out.
I’m 74 and have no problems getting in or out of my Vette

Yeah, but you're short, Kemo Sabay - right?
And, I bet you've trained Silver to crouch down low, so you can just hop OFF his back, and down in - right?
You’re right on all counts!

Nissan (or, was it Datsun?) can't remember … maybe it was Honda, even … used to have one of these very sporty compacts - I was really fond of … it was the lines which endeared me to it …. and, that, combined with the obvious advantage re: fuel costs - of that kind of car - was quite a turn-on to me … until, one day - finally found one for sale at a Used Car lot … and, anxiously, ran - to the dealer, to get the keys - so I could try getting in and out of it … to my amazement - I could not! I wasn't even THAT BIG at the time! So, after about four tries - in rapid succession - I gave up on that kind of car. Never looked at another Japanese car, since, either. The Corvette - has always struck me - as creating the same kind of trouble - for tall and large people - as it's so low to the ground. My first concern - in ANY car - is to be comfortable in it. My second - is to look at how one gets in and out of it. If it's too HIGH - I don't want to know. Ditto … if it's too LOW … the Corvette (and ALL those kinds of racy sports cars) are - definitely - too LOW (for ME, at any rate!!!!)

Wish I could get Scout to do that, Kemo Sabay …. he just stands there and looks at the car, begrudgingly!

Sorry about that!!
He'll get over it, soon, I'm sure … he always does … especially when I see him sad like that ….
An extra bowl-full of oats usually does the trick … I say, Kemo Sabay - can you pacify Silver like that, too?
