"The Gwari people acknowledge the rock as a gateway for the after life. It is believed that when people die, their spirits go to the rock."
"The Zuba people named the rock, “Zumwa”, which means “the place of catching guineafowls”"
At 2379 feet, it is twice as high as the Uluru Rock (formerly Ayers Rock) in Australia.

Rock on rock (no mortar) built by the Romans and lighthouse on rock in Pemaquid, ME.
Fischer's Tower, Hell's Gate National Park, Kenya. Core of an old volcano. "Pride Rock" in the African King movie. Featured in one of Rider Haggard's books (I don't remember which). This whole area provided the landscape elements for his books "King Solomon's Mines" and "She".
