At 2379 feet, it is twice as high as the Uluru Rock (formerly Ayers Rock) in Australia.

Fischer's Tower, Hell's Gate National Park, Kenya. Core of an old volcano. "Pride Rock" in the African King movie. Featured in one of Rider Haggard's books (I don't remember which). This whole area provided the landscape elements for his books "King Solomon's Mines" and "She".
