Yesterday morning I made my usual early morning trip to the back yard to feed the birds and check on the latest flowers to open. In the distant corner dedicated to Gingers, I encountered a garden angel. Her pristine beauty immediately compelled me to fetch a camera. She was glowing in the early light.
The angel, my first white ginger blossom for this season, led me to photograph some of the other Gingers in the immediate area. After that, on my way back inside, I encountered a sunny buttercup and also a wild red Morning Glory (a weed). As if these weren't enough, a large, beautiful Tiger Swallowtail showed up to nectar and pose as well. What a great start to the day!

Thank you, Tazzy. I love the Gingers, too. They die down in late fall and come back ready to start blooming in the spring. I have two different ones that aren't blooming yet.
