Last March, a friend I knew in college called to tell me a Bobcat was hanging around her property in Northern NH. Wildlife is one of my favorite things to shoot, so I grabbed my camera & drove right over in the hopes of being able to capture it. They are wily characters, but on the 3rd attempt, the cat did in fact, give me a very brief ... stop, look & then it exited stage right.
I've seen Bobcats in the wild, but this was the 1st time through a camera lens. After reading RetiredCPO's recent post on UHH, I thought I'd share these. I attempted to find the link to his post, but unfortunately, could not find it. Hopefully, he'll see this & respond with the link. He had some great shots.
These was shot with a Canon 5dIV through an EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. I was a high ISO because there were pockets of deep shade around & I was trying to be flexible.
Hope you enjoy the shots.
Frank
Had my camera up before it saw me ... s/he came quite close & paused for a moment as I shot ... 120mm & cropped due to distracting things on either side ...

Cropped the shot above for a portrait ...
And then, as I said, s/he exited stage right ... they're very fast, so it was out of sight in an instant.

Thanks for the thumbs up.
Nice Frank, I think I see your reflection in her eyes

Thank you papaluv4gd ... I appreciate the positive comment ... & at the risk of sounding full of myself ... I was very pleased that s/he stopped long enough for me to grab those images. In the past, I've seen them in the wild, turn & bolt away so fast, it would have been impossible to capture them unless you had the camera up & aimed when they came into sight.
