I always hated GTO's and Mustang Mach I's. Had a '67 'Vette that would eat their lunch, but they always had to try.

Any classic (esp a hot rod) is better than none, be nice to the old hot rods.......... My lunch was never eaten by a vette, though some tried, lol... A piece of classic Vette history, the early astronaut core (they really liked Vettes) used to street race out on the back roads near Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center, with the locals, back in the 60's. I watched some of those races, before I was old enough and had the wheels to join in.....

So why is your picture of a 1965 model?
Note the distinctive shape of the grille halves, and the turn signals in the grilles rather than in the bumper.

Having owned a '67 Goat, that's what I was thinking.

Regardless of the year of the car, Rob, very good shot.

My brother in law has 2 1966 GTOs, one that he has had since virtually new, a red coupe and a convertible. He has completely rebuilt both of them, one with 3 two barrels and one with dual quads, to showroom condition. Back in the day, my sister also had a 66 or 67.
But nothing like a flying Chevy Impala.
Have a great day!

Hey, Rob! How's it going? It just so happens that my neighbor across the street has a 67 goat sitting in his garage as I am typing this. He takes it to various car shows. Just a couple of months ago, there was a huge auto show downtown and he won 1st place in his category. If you would like, I can post a pic of it.

Tom

Thank you very much, my friend; yes, please do.

The '67 is my choice of GTO. Here's my desktop back ground. The '65 is also a sweet ride. The even more rare '65 GTO Hurst Edition what a beauty.

Outstandin g vehicle and photo EoS_User; well done.

Such vituperation over a simple error. By the way, you misspelled “then.” Which borderline is that?

Rob, the Goat is great but my favorite was the 1965 Ford GTA.

Yes, Marty; back when cars were distinct from one another.
