Reparations are a great ides. We should pay reparations to anyone who was held as a slave in 1860. or any child of one of those slaves.
You can bet this guy won't be invited to anymore Dem functions, in fact, probably just moved himself onto their weapons targeting system...

I think the dems are pushing reparations based on their feelings of guilt without admission of it.
Only problem with that is, there isn't a person alive in this country that was ever a slave here.
I am for restitution in this case. So if the dems feel so bad about what they have done, they can afford to correct the situation they created for millions of all types of people who were brainwashed into trusting them to do right by them. I am curious how far those hogs can fly toward making it right.
Bottom line of the issue is that they have no clue how to make things right. The best they can do is to quietly disappear during the night and allow God and all of the people to return to their rightful places.

This is all about buying votes using the Dem Party old tried and true "Victim" card, nothing more.
If the Dems were actually sincere in this, they would have done it when they had full control of both the Legislature and Executive Branch during the Wilson, FDR, Truman, JFK, LBJ, Carter, Clinton, or Obama Presidencies.
See you pubs are still playing the "innocent" card.
Really, you guys just love to forget the parts of history that you don't like, like the '60s civil rights act and the mass exodus of the Dixie Dems to the Republican Party.
Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was responsible for ordering the largest mass execution in the history of this country?
That's right. Originally 300 Sioux were sentenced to death, but Lincoln being the good Republican commuted all but 38 of the sentences. Then 38 were hanged by the neck until dead.
Oddly enough, he didn't execute any Confederates including traitors like Robert E. Lee.
Wonder why?
While the Democrats are eager to dole out money to their chosen prospective voters, I don't hear anything about reparations to families who lost loved ones fighting for the Union. If the blacks want an exchange of money for historical events, they can start there.

Because he died 6 days past the end of the war.
Read a book.

Only 3 Dixiecrats switched to the Repub Party in the US Gov, the rest stayed in the Dem party. You might also keep in mind that in the Civil Rights Act of 64, it passed in the House with 61% of the Dems, and 80% of the Repubs voting for it, similar pattern in the Senate, 69% of Dems, and 82% Repubs voting for it. It wouldn't have passed at all if not for LBJ pulling along a number of Dems in both houses.

Actually, it was President Truman, he indiscriminately incinerated over 200,000 Japanese Men, Woman, and Children.

any reparations discussions eill likely end up at a dead end. i don't envision any method or approach that can satisfy those who want reparations or expect them.

Poor Frank. Reparations is only about buying votes for democrats.
Tell everyone again about the ‘innocence’ of the left that champions killing the innocent - 800,000 per year.
Yes, and the WAPS, Mics, and Chinks too. Today is today, distant history matters little. My mothers family were poor tenant dirt farmers and my Irish decent mother picked cotton and cleaned houses. Now is now and we must all make the best of it. I can not and do not think of going back on my Highschool for giving me bad marks in all classes because I could not spell and they did not consider I was dyslexia and also had poor hearing. Let bygones be bygones.
