These are abandoned lake side picnic shelters that we pass on our way to Pittsburgh. The view fascinates me, especially since the area is closed in by a barbed wire fence and there is only one spot where I can get a semi-decent view, plus, there is no place to park the car which means that my long suffering husband has to drop me off, drive up the road, turn around and pick me up again. I'm hoping to give it another try this fall when the colors change and possibly on a snowy day.

Just playing two weeks ago, walking along a trail at Ricketts Glen State Park, set a timer and had to stop every 20 minutes and shoot something that I saw at that point...here are a couple...
Good Set Vicki, kind of the same principle as the 30 Minute Challenge from a while ago..

My six year old grandson has developed an interest in grabbing my daughter's phone and wanting to "video tape" (he wants to become a famous YouTuber!) so I took him out one day gave him my Olympus sz12 (has a video mode) to use and of course I had my Canon and tried to show him a little camera fun...
The first is a short video that he shot laying down looking over a waterfall, while MomMom has a deathgrip on the waistband of his pants....children have no fear of danger when their curiosity is in full drive...
All except the two of him with the camera...all the credit goes to him.
It was a most wonderful day, he managed to shoot a half dozen videos and a few photos...at the end of the day, his response..."MomMom that was fun...when can we go out again!"

That's awesome Vicki, Ya never know He just might grow to be a famous YouTuber..

I just moved into a new apt and was setting in the hot tub when one of my neighbors told me about 3 hawks on the roof of the apt building so I grabed my cameraand got a few pictures.I think this is a family one looked like he was just starting to fly.
