Past experience, I’ve never invested in a company not dedicated to the pursuit of profits.
Your request for links is silly unless you’ve never invested in the market.

You don’t have to an American to see the truth. Trump is a liar and that may be the best thing I can say about him.

Mitch is concerned about the economic disruption and I don't blame him, any thinking person is, it will not only hurt restaurants and grocers but the auto industry and many others such as A/C for example will take a hit...… Again, Trump is playing with fire, but you know what, just sitting back and watching a dysfunctional government is not an answer either. The dems could fix this by not letting these people into the country until their asylum claim is settled, clearly they are coming for economic opportunity and the laws should be written to recognize this fact.

I’m impressed that Mitch is even speaking up. Trump has owned him since trump hired Mitch’s wife as a cabinet Secretary of Transportation.

We tell you the truth, my friend. And this is about Trump, not Trudeau or anyone else. To start dragging other country leaders into the discussion with "Well, what about..." is the same as the childish retort, "I know you are, but what am I?"

You presume that all of those changes would occur at a moment's notice. Ramping up domestic production will take years. For instance, look at MP Materials; they supply rare earth elements' ores to China for refinement. China now says they will curtail our access to ores we supplied! This is a national security issue and even with a full out effort, it will take MP Materials years to provide domestic production.

Your point about finding alternate supplies is equally wrong for today. Even if advantageous pricing was available, increased production is not. Additional production capacity would have to be built to meet their increased demand. You're being unrealistic about today's problems because you're looking at this from a macro-economic perspective.

So, once again you deliberately misrepresented a point. You changed the scope from the present, with which I am very concerned, to a future solution that will be correct in time but wrongly applied in this thread.

Read a book.... I've picked one out just for you

That same argument was used to explain back in 2008 how it would take 20 years for the first drop of domestic oil to be produced.

Take your surrender monkey ideology out of here.

I really doubt that Trump gives a crap in regard to what you have to say about him, I certainly don't.

My position on US politics is not selfish. It is simply that Trump is NOT the person you should have as your leader. He is a liar, as you have just acknowledged indirectly, and that is only one of his many faults as a leader and even as a human being. In all of the arguments pro/con Trump people get wrapped around the axle in issues, trying to justify why it is OK for him to still be president because of policies. Keep your arguments about issues -- I care not. Republican or Democrat in power -- I care not. Just put a decent person into that office.

That's okay, but the pantload in the WH directly affects Canada, so some here on the forum do care.

OK Dave, what is Trump doing to Canada? Are they still a little touchy because of the renegotiation of NAFTA? What is Trump doing to hurt them?
