First of all I believe at 69 I am somewhere near the middle of the pack age wise. Beginning about 6 months age almost all of my doctors have started answer to my question with, "At your age...". I don't feel old, but I also realize parts (knees, hip, shoulder) are starting to wear. Isn't there a better way to say, "Your becoming an old geezer." On the other hand entering "geezerhood" has an advantage, I can do most anything I want and it will be blown off with, "He's just an old geezer", while I'm going"GOT CHA!!"
Ok, the end.

O to be a young 69 again!
Don't overlook the small joys of senior discounts.
At your age, "69" is about all that is left!
A few days ago my step father passed on at age 105 Years and 4 Months. He may have had physical difficulties but his mind was still sharp. He was an amazing man.

I think he meant 'middle of the pack' of those on UHH. This does tend to be an older crowd.

First of all I believe at 69 I am somewhere near t... (
show quote)
I have philosophy: In old age we have much wisdom. But no one gives a S....t, because the younger gen's know everything now, & don't ask.
Well, I'm 82 and feel lucky to still be driving to work everyday! So at 69, you're just a young whipper snapper. Keep on trucking! Best of luck. 🙂
Got the same line from the Optometrist at WalMart in my 40's. He just kept saying that "at your age" you can expect vision problems. I told him I realized that but since my eyes got so bad so fast, I wondered if there was another problem. While he was so busy underscoring my age, he missed the fact that I did have another problem. Serves me right for going to WalMart.

I'll join with your question
At 92 I get surprised looks and comments when I walk up to the receptionists window unaided. I am truly blessed to have no joint problems, have competed in a 5K in the past year (and won in my age group), still ride my motorcycle most every day, and best of all, still enjoy my DSLR and my processing of photos.
I remember sixty-nine--I think.
Per my doctor do strength training 3 days a week and cut future doctor appointments in half. I started at 70 and it works. I am on my ATV, UTV or Goldwing almost daily and don't feel my age. Life is great!
