Being a Navy brat, I've seen many a fly over show with the Blue Angels. I think taking fast pictures is where the mirrorless cameras may do very well with full screen sensors and 20 frames per second. I've tried to take planes but my lenses are not well suited for this type of photography. What lens are you using and did you use a tripod w Gimbal mount? In sports and fast shooting it certainly would help. You have many very good shots here and my eye caught the one on top of the other fly by with the gears down and a tail hook dropped? This is clearly for show but interesting. To get the plum behind the jets they spray smoke oil into the exhaust and in the non smoke runs they are also not hitting the throttle hard as the exhaust is so clean. Oh, I know about this group because they used to use the hanger my Pa worked in so I've got some stories. LOL
Looking over the shots, the last two are very nice and illustrate the best of their stunts, at least at the shows those two shots are beautiful to see unfold. Thanks again.

The Blue Angels performed locally a couple weeks ago. They are fascinating to see.
