I've had this happen with UPS. "To err is human. To really screw things up it takes a computer."

I'd be looking up the email address of the regional dispatch office and sending that to them.

Good idea.

I ordered the Canon 17-40 f4 because it was on sale from $800 to $500 at BnH. Received a text that it had been delivered yesterday, but I was at home and so I knew it wasn't. Called BnH and Fedex and reported it. About an hour later the driver comes to the house with the package.

Last month it was something else they dropped off at a wrong address. But don't remember what.

A couple of years ago they delivered an Apple MacBook Pro to an address in another town.

I think I am done with them.

Anyone else having issues with them?

FedEx has so went down hill in the last few years, my wife just retired from there and has been complaining about the changes for the last 10 or so years. But gladly she does not have to deal with them any longer.

I live in the country with a long driveway...they leave packages in the street, even though I have the gate open for them, don't even put it inside the fence...and often don't bag it if it is raining...frustrating

I’ve never had a problem with FedEx, but I have with both UPS and the USPS. Both of them have left packages to a house on a parallel street with the same house number, and the post office also routinely leaves some of our mail to that house (and theirs to us). The worst case has been UPS delivering a MacBook Pro to the local Apple store instead of to my house. When it said “delivered” online even though it hadn’t been, I called the local UPS office and they figured out where it was. This was a Friday and I insisted that they retrieve it and deliver it that day, all to no avail. I had to wait to Monday afternoon to get it.

I have a nest doorbell camera on my front door. It records everything and notifies me when somebody comes to the door. On 2 separate occasions, I was expecting BnH packages so I was at home to sign. Front door open and storm door closed with the dog sitting in the doorway. Eating lunch at 12:30 when I get an email the FedEx tied to deliver but nobody was home. Really? I called Fed X and filed a complaint. The item was delivered the next day. A week later I get two emails saying deliveries that day. One required a signature. Guy comes to door and drops a package, I go pick it up as he is driving away. Five minutes later I get an email saying they tried to deliver the package but nobody was home to sign. Called Fedex and complained again. Supervisor calls me back and asks for the doorbell footage, which I send him. Driver got fired. So....if a package issue happens that you know is wrong, call and complain. It is the only way to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

FedEx left a note on my door today. No idea why; not a single box was marked on the form indicating a reason for having left the form. Not a serious problem, but echoes what so many of you have written.

Not really any problem when I was home to receive delivery. But I work a full time job as I'm sure many on here do. Getting a package rerouted or held at a local terminal for pick-up is a joke. Call FedEx, call the shipper, call FedEx to tell them you called the shipper, go to the local terminal to tell them you called FedEx and the shipper, keep an eye on tracking status because local terminal doesn't know what a phone or e-mail is... Never had any of these issues with the Big Brown Truck or USPS.

You know what?
It really depends on the "driver" of FedEx or USPS or any other .
They are ALL pressured to perform "fast". On a limited schedule.
I believe the drivers are due a "thank you", for doing their job as best as possible.

In my experience, they have drivers who cannot read numbers.

INteresting discussion. In my area, FedEx has been fairly reliable, although I prefer UPS. Many FedEx drivers, especially ground, home delivery, are contract drivers and not FedEx employees. If you want misery, use DHL. Awful service, worse tracking.

DHL was bought by FedEx years ago and is now re-branded as FedEx Ground. One of the reasons why their service is so bad. As others have said: FedEx Express = great, FedEx Ground = Awful Best of luck.!
