I ordered the Canon 17-40 f4 because it was on sale from $800 to $500 at BnH. Received a text that it had been delivered yesterday, but I was at home and so I knew it wasn't. Called BnH and Fedex and reported it. About an hour later the driver comes to the house with the package.

Last month it was something else they dropped off at a wrong address. But don't remember what.

A couple of years ago they delivered an Apple MacBook Pro to an address in another town.

I think I am done with them.

Anyone else having issues with them?

None so far. Couple of problems with UPS and USPS.

I find it annoying and just wrong when they give you a delivery notice up to a full day in advance of the actual delivery. This has happened twice recently; one time resulting in panic because of needing the package the day of the promised delivery.

I have noticed your messages seem to print twice (on the forum). Is that intentional or a problem on your end or that of the forum?

Unfortunately B&H uses Fed Ex for delivery here in Alaska. Looking out my window, I watched the Fed Ex delivery guy drop my package out of the truck. It contained over $4,000 worth of camera lens ..one alone was $2900. Fortunately the box was packaged well with no damage. Needless to say, the lenses were very thoroughly checked over. B&H was notified but I do not know how they handled it at their end.

You are very fortunate. If it had been UPS, they would have run over the box and crushed it.

Fedex sucks, if they deliver it they never ring the doorbell like UPS does. Their trucks sound like garbage trucks.
I go with UPS especially with less expensive insurance.
USPS is fast, but have had damaged packages sent by them.

UPS SUCKS !!! Have been dealing with a delivery that was scheduled 4 days ago. Initially said I had moved (I'm not that senile). Then the next day and the next and finally supposed to deliver today....we'll see. No problems with fedex.

I sent the message and when I checked to find it, It did not appear to be there. So I sent it again. When I checked again it was listed twice. So to answer you question, I guess I am the problem, but it wasn't intentional. I will be more careful in the future. I am a pretty new member still trying to find my way a bit on the site.

About a year ago, they delivered a piece of furniture that was SUPPOSED to go to my neighbor. They put the box flat on the ground, just outside my garage door, on the right side. So OF COURSE, not expecting any packages, I backed out of the garage in a hurry to get somewhere, and crushed the item (it was made of particle board).

Fortunately, the owner understood. The dealer arranged with FedEx to come pick it up and dispose of it, and meanwhile sent another carton to the correct address with a replacement in it.

No problems since...

In many areas the FedEx delivery is contracted out. Whoever gets the contract may not have any FedEx signs or stickers to put on vehicles for a while. Maybe never. The USPS also sub contracts delivery in some rural areas.

Service is a corporate mind set. When shoddy service is acceptable or tolerated, that is what you might get.

FedEx does NOT have a zero tolerance for theft, damage, or late deliveries.

An interesting coincidence. Fed-ex employee delivering package today. Photo from surveillance cam. No knock or ring of the doorbell.

Believe it or not, the contents seem to be unharmed, mostly due to stellar packaging by the shipper. The video of the guy trying to put the package in some sort of reasonable shape is a hoot. Wish you all could see it. I wouldn't ring the doorbell either, but be trying to get away before I was noticed.

I'd be looking up the email address of the regional dispatch office and sending that to them.

I don't receive a lot of parcels from FedEx, but my neighbors do. FedEx drivers are among the laziest in the world. They leave other people's packages in front of my garage door. The driver was too lazy to walk up the steps! One time he was on his way back to the truck and I asked him what address it was for; it wasn't my address and I told him so -- and he kept on walking (faster) to his truck and took off.

I use FedEx all the time and have never had a single problem shipping or receiving. I am certainly no high volume user but probably average 15 packages a month.
