I just sold my Nikon FM 10 for $160 on eBay. That surprised me. It was in pristine condition and had been used very little. I had been told by camera shops and others that I’d be lucky to get $30 for it.
A week later I sold my Pentax Super Program on eBay for $108.
There seems to be a market for film cameras in good condition.
If you sell a film camera on eBay use the auction function and list it with a low minimum bid. That works best. It attracts more buyers.
Be patient. The bidding starts slowly, but by the end of the week two or three bidders will initiate a bidding frenzy.
When I sold my Canonflex on Ebay they hold my Paypal citing that so many seller on Ebay trying to sell non existence Canonflex. I called them and they released my payment right away.
I recently sold two Sony Nex bodies and lenses to a dealer. Got a fair price considering age. As an afterthought I included a Pentax Spotmatic F and a set of Super Takumar lenses. Guess what got the higher prices... The film stuff.
Did keep my Yashica model C TLR and dev tank and reel. Have a scanner. Produces excellent results.
Does anyone have a suggestion for disposal of not very useful camera equipment. I have several cameras and lenses which would not be of interest to anyone who has expectations around his/her images and younger generations do not shoot all that much other than with a mobile phone. I am on the verge of throwing them out. Thanks.
The OP seems to have disappeared and non responsive.

I donated to this site with a shipping fee. There are a number of people here that collect and still use this equipment. I feel it really goes to an enthusiastic person and it goes to a really good home. Many times (I'm sure) they are involved with other groups who may want these items as well. Better saved History then the Landfill.
Thanks to all of you for great suggestions. I will shortly post some additional information on the cameras, which I inherited from my sister who was an artist, and I think used the images in creating non photographic art.

You can donate to a thrift store. They would be happy to take it all, and I am sure that they would sell it easily

Check with any major university that may be close to you, especially those that offer photography courses. Many of those programs will require learning about film photography before jumping into digital. This is their way of teaching the fundamentals first.
Hey this is what I just did. Made a list on KEH the details pop up as you enter them with more info to select the right model etc. And then they give you an estimate of what they will pay. My Nikon FM2 film camera got 225.00. If they cant estimate they will when they see the gear. They send you a Fedex label you pack carefully and send. In a few days they committed to my price $695 A few days later they accepted and they sent the money to my PayPal full price. I read somewhere that KEH is the largest used seller in the world. They are in Georgia. This was old stuff. and a couple of Nikon lens OK. NOW. I have sold cameras on ebay. And that might get more money. A couple of years ago I sold 6k of gear and it went smoothly. I sold a Sony a7s, a Sony camcorder. crazy somebody bought my 500mm mirror Nikon lens 25 years old. I think the market is a little down on used. But this is the best way to find someone to buy your stuff. You will get a better price. Good luck. Be aware if you are not sure what a camera body or lens might be worth I was shocked by my Nikon FM2 film camera was selling close to $300 online over 430 years old. I had a Nikon old 80mm did very well. The rest was just stuff.
