Nikon/Sony/Canon Etc.

All of the major brands are very similar in capability and IQ. Differences are mainly in ergonomics and vestigial brand loyalty.
I’ve always been a Nikon guy, and I honestly prefer their digital ergonomics. I have soft spots for Pentax and Olympus dating from film days, and utmost respect for Canon. Try as many makes as possible, and make your choice on feel and budget. You can’t really go too far wrong.

I agree. There is no bad apple in the bunch. Today’s cameras are fabulous machines that can produce fantastic images. They all have different capabilities and the consumer is free to decide which brand or brands suit what is needed by that person. Mirror or mirrorless or both.

Ron … they certainly are - whether FF or APS-C - both categories have in them, some really fine cameras.
We have been taking them for granted, of late. But, you are so right - each one of them is fantabulous - whether the brand name is Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji or Pentax - each brand offers fantastic cameras for everyone - whether your choice be DSLR or Mirrorless, and even MFT designs too - Olympus or Panasonic.
There will always be something better, coming down the Pike - but, what we have now - is ALREADY Tops!!!

Agreed. When I think of the things I could do with my late ‘60s slrs versus what we can do today, even on a limited budget, it makes me smile.
