Leave on a two week vacation to Alaska on Tuesday. So,.....packing.
Want to stay as light as possible and have been thinking my best lens options for use on the D7200 will be my Sigma 17-70, 1.9-2.4 and my Nikkor 70-300, 4.5-6.3
I haven no greater telephoto. Other lenses are a 105 Macro and my 35mm prime.
My best options??
Go with what you got and enjoy the memories.

I think what you have should cover it all nicely.
I'd just take the 17-70 and the 70-300.

Agree with Longshadow. I had same camera and Tamron 18-400 when we took Alaska trip but your 70-300 and your other lens should be alright.
Leave the tripod home.
Make sure batteries are all charged every morning. Have enough photo cards (preferably Sandisk high quality) for your camera with 2 slots. The more you shoot, the more GB you need.
Alaska weather is unpredictable. Wear clothes in layers. You can always add/remove layers as needed.
Easy on the booze. Get enough rest and sleep at night so you can stay awake and alert for hectic excursion during the day. Drink enough fluids.
In hotel or stateroom of ship where you'll be staying, wipe your room with Lyzol wipes especially the phone, TV remote, door knobs, table tops, bathroom, etc. Don't assume.
Enjoy your trip. Hope/pray for nice weather.
I brought my tripod and was glad I did. Used primarily on the ship but a few times on land as well.
Bring a monopod and gear for drizzle and rain. I went on a cruise 2 years ago.

Sony HX99V, 24-720 mm Zeiss lens, pop up viewfinder, HDR at 6 stops. Carry in a belt pouch and you will thank me when you return from your trip.
I think you’ll be quite happy with what you propose taking.
That's funny, My wife and I leave for this 2 week cruise on June 2. I'm taking an extra camera just in case! I'd never forgive myself if something went wrong- drop, malfunction, etc. I'm taking an 18-80, 70-200 and 100-400. I also have a Nikon 7200.
As a veteran of this cruise four times, your 17-70 and 70-300 will be more than enough. Along with what else has been said, don't forget weather protection for your lens and camera as it can be rainy up there this time of year. If on a shore excursion you could get caught out in it.

I took that trip a couple years ago. Your 2 lenses should do the trick, although I like to "go wider" myself. The 70-300 will bring the wildlife close enough to "wow" the folks back home.

I would take the 18-80 and 100-400. On a cruise take it all. You don’t have to carry it all with you. You need the 100-400.
We're going in August, take 2 lens, 24-105L and 70-300. Like you packing light....
Our first Alaska trip is end of July. Driving south-central and Kenai Peninsula. I’m a beginner with a Sony a6000. I desperately wanted the Tamron 18-400 and was advised it just needed the Sigma MC-11 adapter. Both were on sale so I jumped at it. 😔 That combo did NOT work on my Sony—auto-focus was useless. No Focus Magnifier. Had to return everything. (Not able to spend considerably more for other Metabones adapter possibility.) Very disappointed but will just be content with whatever I can get with my two kit lenses and relish every moment of our adventure!
