I spent many hours just taking this photo. My camera overheated for the first time ever! I took the photo I was after.
If you download then magnify you will be able to see a drop of nectar on her beak and her tongue sticking out.

That hummer picture really tells a story. Your hard work was certainly rewarded. Congratulations!
Kudos for an exceptional photo.
Congrats on a great photo! Nice detail!
It is an incredible image.
Outstanding; the hummer is in such perfect focus that the image appears 3-D. Congratulations.

Thank you. I got three or four this good today. Tonight I'm going to enter two humming bird photo prints into a camera club competition. They are not as good as this one and it's too late to have this one printed and enter this one. There is always next year.
BTW, I have been planning how to take this for years. It worked out just like I hoped it would. I wanted to keep the detail and have depth of field to encompass the bird. I also wanted to push the background into soft bokeh. It was all planned.
Outstanding. The Hummer detail is amazing.
That is a spectacular photograph!
congratulation. even under magnification, the details of the feathers is outstanding. Beautiful.

Nice. Now, go get your camera a glass of water.
I love it when a plan comes together (A Team quote). Very well done. vz
