The OP is asking about FX lenses since he has a D600. The answers to his request for a FX lens could not be better in my opinion.
You could expect to find something of what you want in a couple of lenses, the 24-120 f4 VR and the 20mm f1.8 lens that has been suggested. You will not find the combination you want in a FX lens.
By the way, you seem to be happy with the D600 and its 24.3 Mp. Do you need the 45 Mp. of a D850? Are you printing murals on a regular basis or cropping to the point that you are loosing lots of pixels?
Use what you have, learn your camera better and enjoy.

that was me...for some reason, this got on here two different times...

FX for sure..... have a D600...... however, thanks to all for this quick response.... guess I need to change my parameters to search....and lower my expectations...
I also shoot a D600. My grab and go lens is the 24-120. Or if I need the speed I go to my 50mm f1.8.

For crop sensor the Sigma Art 18-35 f1.8 is absolutely top class--better than anything any of the OEM makers have in that focal range, and f1.8 to boot.

I would like a lens that will go on both sides of that reach….
Somewhere around 16mm or 18mm on the low side and
somewhere around 100mm to 120mm on the high side…..
additionally a F 1.8, even 1.4 if I could find it…..
Do they make such a lens…I've looked at Nikon, Sigma and
Tamron sites…if they make it, certainly not on the 15 or so
sites I've searched… ......
The lens you want does exist ... somewhere, in the
cine realm, at the price of an upper Mercedes Benz.
It's larger than a roll of paper towels and very heavy.
Most of the problem concerns the absurd idea of a
high speed lens, exacerbated by the absurd short
end. The real-world lens is the 24-120/4.0 Nikkor,
take it or leave it ... I recommend "take it" :-)
Your search was not faulty. You simply discovered
the reality of lens design [and cost].

There is an FX, 24-70.
Yes there are many 24-xxx lenses for FX but none is wider than 24mm if the long end is longer than 50mm. Didn't you read my post?

Useless info. He has a D600.

Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX NIKKOR VR II Lens
Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX NIKKOR (VR) Vibration Reduction
I have the 18-140mm and get pretty good results out of it. Pretty much lives on my D5200.
dont they also have a 18-105 ? (which would be in between his stated 100-120 range ???

He wanted a full frame lens.

yes I know but "picdude" also suggested --> 2 DX lenses, which I was mentioning to him. but thanks for your mention, :-)
Your looking for something they don't make if they did it will cost more than your car and as big as a coffee can.
