Gees, never realized I was in both camps with both full frame and miniscule 1" sensor cameras. I guess I should count myself lucky not having APS-C or MFT cameras...

I think the sensor size in my Sony H1 is about 4x6mm. Need a magnifying glass.

Not sure about the conversion, Bill … sounds small, but the sensor in a bridge is REALLY TINY - you know?

And, my first dig cam was/is a bridge - the Fuji Finepix H10 - which even uses 4 AAs !!!!!

But, I didn't know, back then - or CARE!!! … as far as I was concerned, it took AMAZING pictures …

Plus it had/has a 30x zoom (24-720) and TWO different MACRO MODES!!! … Ever since I started using this site - everyone has made me feel like an ass for wasting my money on ANY bridge .. so .. the beat goes on!

1/2.3"!? How totally archaic! I've had one, no two, actually three cameras with those minute sensors back in the dark ages of photography BUT after tasting the delights of larger sensors, never again!

I've even tried photography, if you can even call it that, with the barely visible sensor in a smart phone. I am so ashamed of that moment of weakness...

Just got the idea, from reading another post - the addition of an Emoji in a comment implies one's joking!!

I don't know about you guys - but, I tend to use one or the other on virtually EVERY comment I make!

I'd hate to think - everyone thinks I'm joking, all the time, if I just add one to provide some lightness, etc.

Would really like to hear back from as many folks as I can. What are your feelings on this?

BTW - latest count shows there to be 26 - of which, only a couple - underline one might be teasing.

The others are for fun - just to lighten up comments. But some, have another take. What do YOU think?

Well, that's THEIR problem

EXACTLY, Bill … but they further demean us APS-C users by insisting on calling them CROP Cameras!!!!

Which is why we Canon, Pentax, Sony and Fuji APS-C users need a cool name like Nikon's DX ….

I'll match that and raise you one with a 180 Mak scope; 2,700mm, f/15. I touch heavy to handhold and a bit slow at f/15 but...

But for now I'll just stick with my RX10 III & IV out to 600mm; probably all I can really handle handheld anyway!?

What the heck was this thread about anyway? Ahh yes, emojis... Sorta lost it there for a moment

And, to think, Bwana - after a few short posts, exploring the actual Topic Post title (and - quite clearly - a few complaints) this one got switched OUT OF Main Photography, and into Chit-Chat - no BIG DEAL! - but, the irony is - ever since it got switched - it's been - mostly - ABOUT - Photography!!!!

Can't match that, Bwana ... but I guess I could call your bluff, and put my Panasonic Lumix FZ-70 up against your scope - and have you try and match its overall range - which is 20mm thru to 1200mm ... okay?
