This is absolutely great.
Absolutely, but please don't credit me. There are 4 of MY students there, but 32 from other schools.
FYI, the winners of the race set a new state 1A record and my group just missed the medal stand finishing 4th in the state.

I know exactly where you're coming from, Tex. My Dad was involved in teaching and coaching and influenced kids for over 7 decades....from the time he was 18. At 18, as a freshman at Michigan, he spoke to a younger boy about the values of higher education. What Dad said caused the boy to make a goal of getting a Ph.D. Years later, after the war, after becoming a dentist and practicing for years, he finally got his Ph.D. There are other innumerable examples I could give, but what you're doing goes beyond mere athletic instruction.
BTW...I couldn't live that far away from medical assistance. I'd be dead twice by now!!
2BTW...I'd love to see the video of the Desoto girls' 4X100 National Relay record.

Thanks for you 'Teaching Service.' Teaching is actually the most important profession we have. When you think that every child's life is touched by a teacher for 12-13 years and more with college, teaching is huge.
I am a member of the Baha'i faith.
Our faith teaches that the two most important jobs in the world are farmers/ranchers and teachers.
One feeds the body and the other feeds the mind and soul.
And everyone can be a teacher to some degree - "This is how you..."
My faith also says that if a family can only educate some of their children they should educate the girls because they will be the mothers and first teachers of the next generation.
