Dear Oldie:
If the lense has a flange that is not on the more recent K lenses, you will need to remove the flange. It is not a difficult procedure. I did it to one of my older lenses, a little hacksaw work and it works. Don't forget to block the lense cavity so shavings don't get in.
Thank you everyone, for your help and suggestions. Since the Sigma lens was an el cheapo,I will just forget about it until I get my k30 and k50 back. You guys are the best!!👍👍👍👍👍

The large flange hits the sdm contacts inside the camera, this will be the same with the K30 and the K50. Trim down the flange and the lens will mount as long as it is a k-mount lens.
