I listened to “The Impossible Dream” but I enjoyed even more the slide show that was with it. A tribute to our military.
I attended a performance of "Man of La Mancha" starring Ed Ames at Kansas City's Starlight Theater in the 1970s. For those who do not know, "The Impossible Dream" is the big show-stopper from that musical.

Ames is more from my parent's generation, but I enjoy his talent, and have some of his music in my collection. I'm a Baby Boomer, but heard a lot of music in my home while growing up. Between records, and tapes, and tv shows-Mitch Miller, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, etc, variety shows-I heard a lot of different tunes / artists. Older siblings / cousins, etc, were into the R&B / R&R stuff then popular, and I heard that, and liked some of it. I developed a taste for many kinds of music, and now have a 525 audio CD collection, as well as hundreds of other songs as digital files on my computer. I listen to: Jazz, Classical, Boogie, R&B, R&R, Country, Military, Gospel, Soul, Folk, and more. Ed Ames is definitely worth hearing as far as I am concerned.
