Crank up the shutter speed, adjust the ISO accordingly ( or use Auto ISO ) and use the right focus, in this case spot focus.

I often use too long a zoom for a hand held shot. I keep the camera on auto so I can be ready to capture the fleeting one. if I have the time, I shoot 4 or 5 in a row. Most of the time, I get at least one with no camera shake and in focus.
As a practical matter, I suggest you increase your ISO to at least 400. I'd bet you would have a hard time telling the difference from ISO 100 - except you shoot at 4 times the shutter speed - and with long lenses THAT difference you will notice.
Cheers
Tripod may be the solution.
LOOKS LIKE CAMERA SHAKE TO THESE OLD EYES... RULE OF THUMB: SHUTTER SPEED SHOULD BE FASTER [shorter] than focal length to try and avoid effects of camera shake...sri for shouting..... Ed

The OP, John K, seems to have disappeared.
I noticed that. A bunch of people on this thread have asked if the OP could post the photo again and check the "store original" box. I've seen the same thing happen recently on other posts here on UHH. I don't get it. The OP wants help but then ignores the posts.
