We took a trip to NYC this past week with Paul, Sarah, and the Tribe and due to technical glitches I have been incommunicado. We arrived at the Liberty RV park (Jersey City) late Monday afternoon and took a lovely walk in the dusk to a point where we could see the lights of the city. On the way back we found the gat to the RV park closed and the kids began ducking under it so of course, I decided to do the same. My foot caught on the bottom of it and I fell head first onto the pavement and my camera went flying! Thankfully, it didn't fly far due to the over the shoulder strap and wasn't damaged - Nikon makes sturdy cameras!! I, on the other hand, didn't fare quite so well - my left knee was bloodied and the right one now has a huge bruise - then, to add insult to injury we found out that the gate wasn't locked!! When we got back to the trailer we found that my hard drive had crashed and I couldn't use Lightroom - talk about a coincidence - and the wifi was really crummy - I was dead in the water all week!! Chuck bought a new hard drive yesterday before we got home and got me set up again today - he's wonderful! So, here are a few shots from that first night - rather noisy but it gives an idea how beautiful the city is at night.

So, a little late to the party but I had a busy day. Went to the park with the kids this morning, just took the D3400. Enjoy.

Here are a couple I haven't posted before taken during
our recent trip to NYC.

I'll apologize in advance for the last one; I tried combining
three images from Time Square into a panorama, and
failed miserably...I'll keep trying, but hopefully you'll
get the idea...lol

Love your NYC shots - we got back from our trip last night - it was total sensory overload but a great time! I'm sure your granddaughters made memories that will last forever!

Ahhh the sun is out today!! Been a rainy cold week. I had one left from "round to it" challenge and the raging river. Since the river runs through an old mill complex, decided to "do it" in an "old" look.

You succeeded beautifully with your old look!

Free Sunday is here again. Hope you all had fun or learned something new on last week’s challenges. I know I did. Thank you to Photogirl17 and HardworkinGal. They were good ones. Free Sunday is all about what you want to post, it’s your choice of subject matter. We do prefer family friendly on this thread so please join us with that in mind.
When I was in highschool Dad had a used car, well dad always had used cars, but I thought this one really unique. It was a 55 Plymouth, no wait, it may have been a 55 Dodge. It had been in a wreck and had Dodge body parts on a Plymouth, or maybe it was a Dodge with Plymouth body parts on it. Anyway we called it a Plodge. Imagine my surprise as I was walking around Terlingua the ghost town ….
